Jackie James is the founder of Love & Connection, a human connection movement rooted in emotional wellness, authenticity, presence, and shared humanity.
After more than three decades in the multifamily housing industry, Jackie has had the privilege of building relationships with thousands of people across the country.
Through those experiences, she witnessed something that transcended job titles, industries, backgrounds, and life circumstances:
people want to feel seen, heard, valued, and connected.
At the same time, Jackie was navigating her own seasons of loss, transition, healing, growth, and deep reflection. Those experiences invited her to look more closely at what it means to be human and deepened her understanding of what so many people are carrying beneath the surface.
Along the way, she began to recognize that grief is not only about losing someone we love. Sometimes it shows up as loneliness, overwhelm, burnout, uncertainty, the loss of belonging, the loss of purpose, or the feeling that we have become disconnected from ourselves and one another.
As the years passed, Jackie noticed a growing pattern in both her personal life and professional relationships. Despite being more connected through technology than ever before, many people were feeling increasingly disconnected from real human connection.
We were communicating more, yet often feeling less seen.
Surrounded by people, yet feeling alone.
Busier than ever, yet longing for something deeper.
Beneath the endless notifications, packed schedules, and constant demands, Jackie discovered that many of us are craving the same things:
Authentic
conversations.
Meaningful
relationships.
A sense of
belonging.
Opportunities to reconnect with ourselves and one another.
She found herself longing for something different.
Less
distraction.
Less
performance.
Less
small talk.
More
authenticity.
More
presence.
More
meaningful conversations.
More
human connection.
That realization became the foundation for Love & Connection.
Born from both personal experience and decades of observing the human experience, Love & Connection exists to create spaces where people can slow down, show up authentically, build genuine relationships, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and reconnect with what matters most.
Through gatherings, workshops, speaking experiences, workplace programs, conferences, and community events, Jackie helps people move beyond surface-level interactions and experience the power of genuine human connection.
Because she believes connection is not a luxury—it is a human need. When people feel seen, heard, valued, and connected, something powerful happens.
Relationships
strengthen.
Communities become
healthier.
Workplaces become
more human.
And people remember they are not alone in the human experience.
Her mission is simple:
Less screen time.
More human connection.
Because one of the greatest gifts we can offer one another is to be fully present, fully human, and connected to the people and moments that matter most.
